Magic board

I compared the defrosting board against kitchen paper towel. Both were placed with a piece of frozen chicken breast starting at the same time. After more than an hour, the breast on the defrosting board was completely defrosted that it can be easily folded, while the other one was frozen firmly together with the paper towel...through melting and refreezing I guess. It's a magic piece of metal!

It's been three hours now, the chicken breast on the paper towel is still hard in the core.

A must have for every kitchen!

I am always looking for a way to defrost faster and not change the flavors and structures of the food until my friend told me about this. I do not have 3 hours to wait for the defrosting to happen, I always forget to take the food out in the morning when time is really tight for me and I hate it when microwaves change the structure and even the flavor of a good meat. This is a perfect solution for my problem. It is fast and organic. I tried it with these great beef ribs, close to 3 lbs. Guess what? 5 minutes later, the big chunk of beef was all covered in frost and ice. 30 minutes later it was ready for cook! I am now using it every time before cooking and it is so easy to clean. What satisfies me most is it is a natural and healthy way preparing food by just channeling the heat from the air. I think it is a must have in every kitchen!
